Got to have the blowtorch

Probably the most well-loved kitchen blowtorch application, the crème brûlée is one of my favorite desserts. Must be something about that crack when the spoon first breaks the sugar... magnificent.

The mixture of creamy filling and crunchy burnt sugar just makes everything in the world seem all right, if only for a moment. Perhaps it's time to invest in a blowtorch? (I think the fire extinguisher should come first though...)
